The pulleys are used for triple-bundled conductor stringing on a new high-voltage transmission line. After several sections of the line were completed, the customer reported that the pulleys ran smoothly, protected the conductors well, and helped improve overall stringing efficiency. Transmission line construction in Thailand has its own characteristics and challenges. Many lines pass through mountainous terrain, forests and agricultural areas, involving frequent crossings over roads, rivers and farmland. At the same time, the tropical climate brings high humidity and frequent rainfall, which puts higher demands on the corrosion resistance and bearing sealing of stringing blocks. With the increasing use of triple-bundled conductors, any mismatch between pulley design and conductor size can easily lead to surface scratches, twisting, or local stress concentration on the conductor. After studying the conductor size, bundle spacing and crossing conditions of the project, we recommended the Triple Stringing Pulley SHSQN320X60(S) for this Thai contractor: The triple-sheave design is specially suited for triple-bundled conductor stringing, helping keep each subconductor under similar tension and reducing the risk of twisting or entanglement. Each pulley is equipped with 320*60 mm nylon sheaves, with a smooth groove profile and adequate strength. This structure provides a good balance between mechanical strength and surface protection, effectively reducing conductor scratches and dents during passage. The pulley frame uses a reinforced side-plate structure and high-quality rotation bearings, designed to cope with Thailand’s high-temperature, high-humidity and long-duration operation requirements. The SHSQN320X60(S) can be easily integrated into the customer’s existing stringing equipment set, including their current stringing pulley blocks, hydraulic cable pullers and tensioners, ensuring convenient installation and good compatibility on site. During field operation, the site engineers observed that, compared with their older pulley models, the Triple Stringing Pulley SHSQN320X60(S) delivered much better performance in terms of rotation smoothness, conductor passage and behaviour during rainy conditions. Conductor vibration was reduced, and the sag and tension of triple-bundled conductors were easier to control. As a result, there were almost no stringing problems attributable to the pulleys, and rework caused by conductor surface damage was significantly reduced. At the end of the project, the Thai customer confirmed that this batch of SHSQN320X60(S) triple stringing pulleys helped them save considerable time on adjustment and rework, increased daily stringing output, and improved the final conductor quality. They are planning to continue using the same model in upcoming line refurbishment and new-build projects, and are also willing to recommend our triple stringing pulleys to other local contractors as a preferred choice for bundled conductor stringing in Thailand.

The equipment is being used for grounding and conductor stringing operations in high-voltage transmission projects. Finland’s grid construction imposes very high standards on safety and equipment reliability. Due to low temperatures, high humidity and long outdoor working periods, conventional steel ropes and pulley systems often suffer from slippage, unstable tension and poor grounding performance. The customer sought a solution that would ensure CE-compliant safety, stable pulling performance, and cold-weather durability. Our Pilot Steel Wire Rope is made of high-carbon galvanized strands with high tensile strength and excellent flexibility. The product is CE-Marked, guaranteeing conformity with EU safety regulations. Each 800 m reel (YL22-12XT25 cable reel) enables efficient lifting, handling and continuous stringing over long spans. The matching Grounding Roller Stringing Blocks SHSQN822D and SHD660D use reinforced aluminum alloy frames and sealed anti-freeze bearings, maintaining smooth rotation even at −20 °C. They reduce conductor friction and vibration during current discharge, ensuring consistent grounding safety. According to customer feedback: “Compared with our previous un-certified products, this combination performs significantly better in tension control, conductor protection and cold-weather reliability. Installation is simple, operation is stable and quiet, and overall stringing efficiency improved by nearly 30 percent." The Finnish contractor has since designated this configuration as the standard solution for future transmission-line expansion projects.

The equipment was used for a high-voltage transmission line construction project across desert terrain. After installation and commissioning, the customer gave highly positive feedback on the performance, efficiency, and stability of the machines. Saudi transmission line projects often face several operational challenges. Long line spans and large conductor sections require precise pulling and tension control to prevent conductor damage. The harsh desert climate—characterized by extreme heat, wind, and sand—places heavy demands on the hydraulic system, cooling capacity, and dust protection. Traditional semi-manual stringing methods make it difficult to maintain safety, speed, and conductor quality under these conditions. To meet these challenges, we recommended a complete stringing solution combining the SA-YQ60 Hydraulic Cable Puller and the SA-YZ50 Hydraulic Tensioner. The SA-YQ60 provides adjustable pulling speed and stable traction, ensuring smooth start and stop operations without conductor shock or overstress. The SA-YZ50 maintains constant tension during stringing, ensuring proper conductor sag and preventing slippage or sudden rebound, especially when crossing roads and valleys. Both machines are engineered for desert environments with optimized hydraulic circuits, enhanced cooling performance, and superior dustproof sealing. The equipment is easy to operate and maintain, making it well-suited for field teams in Saudi Arabia’s demanding conditions. During the first stage of line installation, the customer reported a significant improvement in efficiency—daily stringing output increased notably compared to their previous equipment. Conductor surface damage and rework were greatly reduced, while safety and operational control improved. The customer concluded that the SA-YQ60 Hydraulic Cable Puller and SA-YZ50 Hydraulic Tensioner will become standard equipment in their future projects. They also expressed interest in purchasing additional units for upcoming transmission line construction in Saudi Arabia and neighboring Middle Eastern markets. This successful delivery once again demonstrates the reliability, safety, and performance of our Hydraulic Cable Puller and Tensioner series in high-temperature, high-dust environments—further strengthening our reputation in the Middle East’s power transmission industry.
